The moods of microblading.

There are stages of the healing process that can cause many moods, especially to those who aren’t prepared for what to expect. If you are wondering what is normal, this should help.

FAQs

Does microblading hurt?
The pain level for the procedure can range from moderate to none. Some may describe it was a firm scratch to not feeling anything, which during the procedure numbing may be applied to the brows eliminating the discomfort as much as possible. Everyone responds differently the anesthetic depending on the client. Pain tolerance can be effected by medications, menstrual cycles and skin problems or disorders.
Are your tools sterilized?
Of course! Using Sterile tools or single-use blades opened right in front of you. Once done the procedure everything is properly disposed of after each client, following the VIHA protocol for disinfecting the room top to bottom always keep my clients safety essential.
How long is the session and how long does it take to heal?
For the initial session, the procedure should take about 2-2.5 hours. The session will start off with the artist mapping out the brows using the golden ratio following with client’s approval the shape and the best suiting pigment colour. Once satisfied, the procedure begins.
How long does it last?
The effects of microblading can last up to 6 months to 1 year, Depends on variety of things. skin type (normal, oily or dry, youthful or mature) pre-and post-care, skin routine will also affect the lasting effect of the pigment ect. there after the pigment fades over time leaving your natural brows exactly as they were.
Is the touch-up session necessary?
Yes, depending on the skin type, aftercare and work from the artist the outcome will vary. Pigment may need adjustment, thickness of the brows and more strokes can be added. the touch up is important being able to refine your brows ensuring it looks perfect and retains the colour and shape over time.
Who is not suitable for the procedure?
Candidates who may have/be or using:
  • Accutane in the last year
  • Or are prescribed on any blood thinners
  • Skin disease or irritations
  • Botox in the last month
  • Pregnant or nursing
  • Use Tanning bed frequently
  • Have had a chemical peel within the last 30 days
  • Prone to Keloid scars
  • If you are diabetic
  • Contain blood Bourne infection (HIV, hepatitis)
